The PCMS IT Advisor Group has an opening for an experienced and aggressive Business Development Executive (BDE). A BDE is a Sales Professional who has what it takes to develop business information opportunities in the fast growing, mid-sized corporate market. The position is responsible for building and selling professional services engagements, along with hardware and software solutions and requires development of new accounts in the Tri-State area through prospecting and consistent networking.
This is a consultative sales position. Responsibilities include developing new and established sales opportunities. You will proactively seek out, identify, qualify, develop and close new opportunities, making sales presentations, analyzing customers needs and making recommendations for IT solutions. You will be required to handle all aspects of account development, prospecting, networking, and demonstrating a high level of sales activity. You must be capable of developing and executing sales strategies in technical environments. It is also necessary to maintain a high level of product and vendor knowledge so willing to learn, understand and retain knowledge about our products and services is crucial. You will also handle resolving critical customer issues, maintaining client satisfaction and growing existing relationships.
5+ years of proven sales experience
Working knowledge and experienced selling consulting services to businesses
Ability to quickly learn and understand our products and services to successfully sell them
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Ability to overcome obstacles to achieving results.
Drive to meet and exceed yearly sales target/quota.
Exceptional language and communications skills required
Local travel necessary to be successful in this role
Highly Preferred Skills:
Fundamental knowledge in two or more of the following areas: Systems Management, Portals & Collaboration, Infrastructure, Unified Communications, Managed Services and/or Staffing
Strong familiarity with hardware and software products
Microsoft product knowledge
Symantec product knowledge
HP Server, storage and networking product knowledge
MCP or other technology certification
Microsoft, Symantec, HP or other sales certifications a plus
